Last year we did things a bit differently. We had a proper passover meal with all the traditions and ended of by breaking bread and drinking wine together. It was very special. The next day we over indulged in chocolates!!

by jwfacts ini have been married for 10 years and have two wonderful step kids, 15 and 21. being a jw i did not want a child as life seemed so pointless.
things changed for the better since leaving and i am now the proud father of a big baby boy zac - 9pounds (4.1kg), 52cm long and huge lungs.
my wife is filipino so the baby looks very asian at the moment.

what have jws got against beards ?
by looloo inand it really used to annoy me that jesus and john the baptist both had such neat and well trimmed beards in the watchtower literature , how unlikley would that be in reality ?
also they never wore a suit so why do "true christians "have to wear one , is all about appearences by any chance and giving a false impression ?

Next time any JW asks about your beard just ask them " So you think Jehovah made a mistake creating men with facial hair?"
That should shut them up!!

What's your success rate?
by Mrs Smith inhow many of you have managed to get your jw friends and family to see that it's not "the truth"?

Thanks for all the replies. I think that if someone doesn't want to see that it's a lot of bs they will just dismiss any info given. People have to have their own doubts and then they can be helped out

by Mary ini'm not sure if this has been posted yet, so i took the liberty of scanning a copy.

South Africas' figures have grown - when I left 3 years ago they were hovering around 65 000 now they are sitting at + 81 000. They've been busy little bees.
I was expecting an increase in SA because crime here is so bad that it's easy to sell a paradise earth message. We are still a 3rd world country even though it's not as bad as other African countries we are by no means first world. So sad.

It must be really tough if your kids are been raised as JWs my heart goes out to you.
A JW school friend of mine recently find me on Facebook and the ussual JW talk started from her side. I told her I haven't been for almost 10 years and she has been asking a lot of questions. I think she has doubts already as she has been df in the past so she is been very open minded. I'm careful not to give her too much info as I know it can be overwhelming. Maybe one day she'll be a poster on JWD!

How many of you Ex Jehovah's Witnesses married early and it was a disaster?
by isnrblog inwhat a common tale.
you marry early becasue you can't have sex.. i was married at 19 and divorced at 50. the only thing that held it together was our involvement in the jw's.
otherwise it would have been over in less than 5 years.. my kids are not witnesses and have a terrible relationship with their mother, as she is always trying to shove it down their throats.. this is still happening.

Married at 19 (seems to be the magic age in Jwdom) hubby was 24. Been through some tough times but still very much in love.

did anyone know a real self righteous dub in the cong that fell from grace
by looloo ini knew a few like that , the worst one was local congregation paedophile that had so much to say about others , when i look back now at some of the things he used to judge people for , what a damn cheek he had considering the things he had done that hadnt come out at that point in time.

We had a family of self righteous dubs in our congo. They were always held up as an example. Every assembly they were giving some wonderful experience that they had in the field bla bla bla. They were all pioneers and dad was an elder. Perfect jw family. Fastfoward to 10 years later, 4 out of the five kids are no longer JW's. The parents are now divorced cause he was a wife beater and almost killed his wife.
